I’m confirmed for an acoustic set at 2000 Trees Festival next weekend. It’s a great bill (though they can’t spell ‘Chris’ apparently!) and I’ll score extra quids by thumping piano for Frank Turner on the main stage. Nice.

In October we tour the UK with Frank Turner, with both acts bringing full bands. Dates are up on the Gigs page now, with more to come, including an Irish leg. Mon 9th June, 2008Thank-you if you came out to see Chris on tour. With the current bunch of UK shows all but done, watch this space for summer and autumn action. Chris will play piano for Frank Turner at most of Frank’s UK festival shows this summer. If you’re an FT fan, watch out for Chris at Reading, Leeds, Glasto, Cambridge Folk Festival and others. We are sad to see the cancellation of Blissfields Festival. It is one of our favourites and the organisers are amongst the most decent and honest folks in the live scene. We hope they’re back on fighting form in the future. Wed 14th May, 2008We’re back on the road from Monday 19th, kicking off the UK tour with Tom White at the infamous Amersham Arms in New Cross, south London. It’s a full band gig. Before that, tomorrow (Thurs 15th) sees the band at Brighton’s Great Escape festival, playing The Arc nightclub at 9.30pm. Chris will film a live Q&A for CMU at The Globe at 2.45pm as well. Tue 15th April, 2008
A second run of Chris T-T UK gigs has been confirmed for next month. Chris and Thomas White (Electric Soft Parade/Brakes) will pile into a load of co-headline shows in May and June. Check the Gigs page for listings. Fri 11th April, 2008Today’s Independent Music Magazine has a feature on Chris and Frank Turner, from last month’s USA tour. It’s online here. Thu 10th April, 2008Thank-you to everyone who made it to a gig on the UK tour, despite crazy snow, football matches and this year’s weird Easter. Much fun was had, especially collecting photos of Tony Benn and West Wing characters, supplied by the promoters from the band’s rider request. Watch this space: tomorrow we’ll announce a new bunch of dates, including some supports, a co-headline tour with an old friend and some more festival confirmations. Tue 1st April, 2008Listen to BBC6Music tonight from 8pm. Chris and the band will be playing live in The Hub for Tom Robinson’s show. Gary Crowley is sitting in for Tom, who’s not well. Get better soon Tom! Fri 28th March, 2008Steve Lamacq had Chris as ‘Featured Artist’ on his Radio 2 show this week. Listen again here. It’s at 40 minutes but listen to the whole show, it kicks arse. Mon 24th March, 2008The Capital UK tour starts tomorrow (Tues) in Manchester at the Night & Day. It’s Chris’s first ever full band Manchester headline. If you want to come to a gig but haven’t bought tickets yet, it’s still worth buying in advance, rather than hoping to get in on the night. |
